She was brought to the Galapagos Islands in the late 1990´s and completely converted in order to adapt to the strict Galapagos environmental regulations. She was the first Galapagos cruise ship to obtain an environmental certification "Smart Voyager" and has been a pioneer in setting green standards.

Today she is the most comfortable 100 passenger ship navigating the Galapagos Islands.

The ship holds 100 passengers and every stateroom is a suite. Of all the ships I've been on, the rooms on this one were the roomiest, including the bathrooms.

She was refitted completely in September 2010 and continues to be a true lady of the seas, the Galapagos Explorer is one of the finest options to visit the archipelago in comfort and style.
